Business Development Management Trainee – Film Vertical

 

Job Description:

We are seeking energetic, presentable, and proactive Business Development – Management Trainees to support Ramoji Film City's Film Vertical in strengthening engagement with the content production ecosystem.

This is a field-intensive internship focused on market mapping, lead generation, and relationship building with producers, directors, production houses, and other key industry stakeholders. Management Trainees will work closely with the Business Development team to generate qualified leads, build a comprehensive industry database, and support business development initiatives for shooting projects at Ramoji Film City. The role offers hands-on exposure to real-world business development within the Indian Film and OTT industry, providing a strong learning experience and a pathway for high-performing candidates to be considered for full-time opportunities.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily field visits and meet a minimum of five (5) industry professionals per day, including Producers, Directors, Line Producers, Creative Producers, Associate Producers, and other key stakeholders.

• Build and maintain a high-quality database of production houses, production companies, and decision-makers with accurate contact information. Assist in developing customized pitch decks and presentation materials for various client segments, including Films, Web Series, OTT Platforms, and Corporate Productions.

• Support cold outreach initiatives through emails, LinkedIn, phone calls, and other networking platforms to generate leads and schedule meetings.

• Conduct market research and provide regular updates on industry trends, competitor activities, and client requirements.

• Professionally represent Ramoji Film City during industry interactions and promote it as a preferred destination for film and content production.

• Collaborate closely with the Business Development Manager and Film Vertical team to convert prospective leads into business opportunities.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates currently pursuing or recently completed a BBA/MBA specializing in Sales, Marketing, Media & Entertainment, or related disciplines from reputed institutions (such as NMIMS, Chetana College, or other A/B+ B-Schools).
 

Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong presentation and interpersonal abilities.

• Comfortable with extensive field work and client interactions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel).

• Basic knowledge of presentation design tools such as Canva.

• Self-motivated, target-oriented, and capable of working under pressure.

Personality & Behavioural Traits:

• Presentable, well-groomed, and professional in appearance and conduct.

• Passionate about films, web series, OTT platforms, and the content production ecosystem.

• Quick learner with a proactive and positive attitude.

• Ethical, relationship-focused approach to business development.

Preferred:

Previous internship or project experience in Sales, Marketing, Media, or Entertainment. Basic understanding of the content production value chain.
 

What We Offer:

• Monthly Compensation

• Internship Stipend: ₹20,000 per month

• Conveyance Allowance: ₹5,000 per month

• Telephone Reimbursement: ₹300 per month
